Next Purchase-Factions or Eye of the North
Hi,
I currently have Guild Wars Prophecies and Nightfall and I'm debating whether I should get Factions or EON next. Factions is probably much longer but I wonder how many people still play the campaign...? EON is short and I've heard it has quite a bit of grind. However, it's newer and there are probably more people playing it. So, any suggestions? |

you can find Factions at retailers for as cheap as 15-16 USD
but IF the choice is Factions OR GW:EN, I would go GW:EN |

I'd go for gw:en. it's different from another campaign, and lets you go through a different type of experience. it also have a much better variety of skills. when you'll have enough of that, going through another "conventional" campaign will be fresh again.

Factions >>>> Gwen
+ Original armor + 2 extra char slots + 2 New professions to play (assassin & ritualist) + 1 extra material tab + Tons of nice and usefull Elites + Campaign is so much longer + Only way to achieve Legendary Cartographer, Skill Hunter, Guardian or Vanquisher Also Nf hero's > Canthan baddies. Din't we already have a thread about factions or elona vs EoTN? Last edited by mr_groovy; Jan 01, 2008 at 10:19 PM // 22:19.. |

Factions for:
1) Alliance Battle (Kurzick vs Luxon) 2) More Elite Skill and skill (basically eye of the north have the same elite of prophecies and 10 skill for each profession, factions owns more) 3) Two new profession: Assassin and ritualist 4) The love place of shing jea ( i fall in love with it), The wonderful jade sea and the dark kurzick forest. 5) Two empty slot 6) Shiro Tagachi (i love it) Needed others reasons? Also if you are thinking about doing PvP ever in the near future, you're going to need factions skills to be successful.
Factions ftw |

Factions, fast leveling, and all of the above...
Although Eotn has some good skins, but you can buy those off people. |

Factions is kinda bad in it's own way, but it does have the rit class which is still a somewhat decent class. Turn off the sound though the voice acting ranks up there as the worst ever in a game.

Ahhhhhhhh!!!
EotN isn't terrible! But yeah, Factions gives you a lot more bang for your buck. Factions and EotN cost about the same now. I'd go with Factions because it is a solid game rather than a little expansion. Wait till EotN is cheap, then buy it. |

Ack, they're both so terrible I can't decide which is worse. Go with the lesser of two evils, which is probably Factions, as much as I hate to say it.
Actually, no. Don't buy either, you'd be wasting money either way. |

EOTN = no elites. It probably costs more also considering Factions has been price dropped a few times.
Factions also has alliance battles and Sunspear + Luxon/Kurzick skills. |
